Ok, so I'm back again already.  My husband and son's are in the garage and my daughter is off working on a project.  I opted against cleaning up the kitchen because I had some random thoughts in my head and figured they might just disappear if I didn't write them down.  This may become an addiction.

So..I had a memory flash into my head from a few years ago.  It made me wonder why extreme niceness is often a red flag..well to those who are paranoid in nature such as myself.  It's a character flaw, but hey...that's my tough shell talking.

Alright, so I was on my lunch break and I went to a supermarket near my office because they had an awesome salad bar that I LOVED.  This day in question I went in search of a salad with a side of nachos (don't judge).  This said salad bar happened to have all the fixin's for killer nachos.  I made my salad and commenced the creation of my heartburn special.  I had everything set but was missing the icing on the cake...the jalepenos.  I looked and to my dismay there weren't any.  The attendent asked if he could help me.  My reponse was...PLEASE! I need jalepenos or else my nachos are useless.  He informed me that they were out of the sliced jalepeno's but told me to grab a fresh one from the produce section.  I told him I preferred the pickled peppers (lol) and he INSISTED I get a fresh one.  I figured, well..ok...it's a pepper, it'll do.  I picked out a pepper while he watched me the whole time.  I returned with the precious pepper fully expecting him to slice it there at the salad bar.  (This is where my red flag starts waving)  He proceeds to tell me that he needed to go to "the back" to slice it.  I told him that wasn't necessary, that I needed to get back to work but I appreciated his effort.  He became more insistent with his need to go to "the back" to slice my pepper.  I agreed.  I contemplated just leaving but I do have an awfully large heart and an even bigger conscience so I opted to stay.  He returned with my pepper (sliced on a napkin) after what seemed like an eternity.  I thanked him, took the pepper and was going to walk away.  He stopped me and said that I should put it on my nachos.  He stayed to supervise the placement of said peppers.  Ok, so now I have a true delima.  I want the nachos HOWEVER they have now been tainted with the pepper that was suspiciously sliced in "the back".  I put the peppers on my nachos (which sealed their fate).  He continued to watch me..I couldn't ditch them..I had to pay for these nachos which found their happy home in the garbage outside the store.  I COULD NOT eat them.  It was way too suspect.  Why did this man insist I get a pepper that he HAD to slice in "the back".  I felt awful, but he could have done anything...and my main question...DID HE WEAR GLOVES???

I hate that I'm paranoid and distrust most people.  He was probably just being ridiculously nice & thought he made my day.  Little did he know he left me with a growling stomach and an unsatisfied urge for nachos..with JALEPENOS!
